Strong growth in population, employment and disposable incomes over the last two decades along with rising expectations from both operators and customers have meant that by the end of 2019, Dublin’s F&B market had never been stronger.
At a time of huge uncertainty and enormous challenge for the hospitality sector, BNP Paribas Real Estate, a market leader in the F&B sector, takes an in-depth look at the make-up of this rapidly evolving sector. Within the core Dublin City Centre market we have identified six distinct F&B zones or districts, each with their own unique characteristics and attractions.
They are Dawson Street and its environs; the so-called ‘Golden Mile’ of the northern side of St. Stephen’s Green to Merrion Row and Lower Baggot Street; The Creative Quarter (South Great George’s Street to Clarendon Street); Camden Street / Wexford Street, Temple Bar and finally O’Connell Street. We have also included Grafton Street as a seventh location within this report as it is home to a number of important F&B outlets, however it is worth noting that this is more of a retail location than an F&B district.
