Hugo Boss, the premium global fashion retailer has signed a new 10 year lease at 67/78 Grafton Street.
Located adjoining Massimo Dutti and Dune, the store provides 535 sq m (5,775 sq ft) of retail space over 3 trading floors in addition to ancillary upper floor levels. It has been the flagship Dublin city centre location for Hugo Boss since 2015, when they acquired the lease from the UK retailer NEXT.
Their old lease expired during 2020 and in a sign of confidence in both Dublin and ‘bricks and mortar’ retail, Hugo Boss have now committed to a new annual rent of €630,000. This is a reduction on the previous lease rent of 825,000.
The German headquartered retail giant with over stand-alone 430 stores worldwide and revenues in 2019 of €2.9 billion has two other Irish store located at Dundrum Town Centre and Kildare Village.
“These are challenging and unprecedented for the retail sector. It is encouraging and a vote of confidence in our economy here in general and in Grafton Street in particular that Hugo Boss have committed to retaining their presence at Ireland‘s premium retail destination “ according to Eoin Feeney of BNP Paribas Real Estate, who advised the Landlord, an Irish institutional property fund.
Hugo Boss were represented by CWM, the London based retail property specialists.
